At Eternal Life Hospice, our philosophy revolves around honoring individual choices in patient care, involving the patient, their loved ones, caregivers, and our hospice team. We prioritize respect and dignity throughout the entire end-of-life journey.
As part of our commitment to patient choice, we offer assistance with medical aid in dying (MAID). This option allows competent adults with terminal illnesses to request a prescription for a lethal dose of medication from a physician. Under the End of Life Option Act guidelines, qualified individuals may obtain this medication from their attending physician, who complies with specific regulations established by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Our Hospice-trained physicians are also available for in-home consultations as needed.
Our Approach
The National Hospice Palliative Care Organization defines hospice as a collaborative approach to delivering expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support uniquely customized to meet the patient’s preferences and requirements. This support extends to the patient’s loved ones as well.
This is why we believe in the individual’s right to a pain-free and dignified passing, with adequate support provided to their loved ones. We take every individual’s condition and needs into account so that we can craft a care plan that not only is high-quality but compassionate and pain-free.
High-Qualified Staff to Deliver High-Quality Care
Throughout a patient’s journey in hospice care, they will collaborate with various members of our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support.
Our team of registered nurses delivers hands-on care and support directly to patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes. Our nurses are not only compassionate but also highly qualified.
You can trust that our hospice physicians are providing high-quality care during the final weeks or months of a patient’s life. It is their responsibility to prioritize the patient’s comfort and well-being while offering recommendations for ongoing care. Hospice Physicians demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness, ensuring they can see patients as frequently as necessary to provide guidance and alleviate any pain or suffering.
